Diliryo

Diliryo is a 1997 drama film directed by Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes. The film is a rehash of Scorpio Nights and is an exploration of the obssessive love of two youngsters and its destructive consequences.

[edit] Synopsis
A couple experiences first love in this romantic Filipino film. While appearing in a perfume commercial, teens Jessica del Mundo (Giselle Toengi) and Gerard (Jomari Yllana) are attracted to each other. Friends are concerned when the two become obsessed with each other. They separate, yet are haunted by continual TV repeats of the perfume commercial. The commercial's romantic slant makes them more and more miserable. Then, remarkably, they are both scheduled to reshoot a new scene for the commercial, and the possibility of a reunion looms.

Diliryo marks Gallaga's return to mainstream cinema. The movie was shown in the Contemporary World sidebar of the 1997 Toronto International Film Festival.
