David M. Celdran is a Philippine broadcast journalist and producer. He is Director for Current Affairs and Television Production of the ABS-CBN News Channel, responsible for the programming and production of the channel's talk and debate programs. He is also a contributor and senior anchorperson for the network. In addition, he is one of the board members of the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ). He was given a 2001 Asia Leadership Fellowship Program (ALFP) for his research topic: Surviving the Marketplace of Ideas in the Age of Electronic Media. He delivered the 14th Asia-Europe Lecture Tour, entitled "Tabloid Democracy: The Paradox of Press Freedom in Asia and Europe", which took place from 25th May to 5th June, 2006 at the following institutions in Europe: Institute of European Affairs (Dublin), University of Amsterdam and International Institute for Asian Studies (Amsterdam), Swedish Institute for International Affairs, University of Tampere and the Soros Foundation (Riga).
