HISTORY

Dr. Vivencio V. Villaflor, Sr. started his medical profession in 1946 at the Old Fernandez building at Downtown, Dagupan City. As his name, skills and reputation spread throughout the province of Pangasinan, he transfered to a small three-storey edifice in Arellano Street to accommodate his ever-increasing number of patients.

In 1967, he was joined by his son Dr. Vivencio Villaflor, Jr. and his daughter-in-law Dr. Gregoria Poblete Villaflor, both of whom underwent extensive training at the Philippine General Hospital.

In keeping with their commitment of providing the best possible medical care, the Villaflors decided to build a bigger hospital and added a state-of-the-art laboratory and other modern health facilities. Thus, in 1981, the DAGUPAN DOCTORS VILLAFLOR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL was born.

Situated in Mayombo District, Dagupan City, the hospital has more than 6,000 sq. meters along the bustling McArthur Highway, a few kilometers away from the heart of the city and strategically bounded by nearby towns of Calasiao, Binmaley, San Fabian, Mangaldan and Sta. Barbara.

With the constant demand for patient bed space, offices by the doctors and ample parking, a new wing adjacent to the main building, the Medical Arts Tower (MAT) has been added and inaugurated on March 2, 1997.
