Cebu Cebu occupies 4,421 sq. kms., and has a population of over 2 million. The province, comprising 5 cities and 48 municipalities has a comparatively high degree of urbanization.

Cebu City, known as "The Queen City of the South" has a population of over 650,000. The oldest and the third largest city of the Philippines, is the commercial, industrial, cultural, religion, and educational center for the Central Visayas and Northern Mindanao.

Busier than Manila harbor, foreign ships dock to unload imported goods and pick up copra, sugar, and other exports. Cebu City also has an international airport.

Second to Manila in directory size, PLDT CEBU TELEPHONE DIRECTORY was first issued in 1895, with 20 white pages and 53 yellow pages. In 1957, the Cebu directory was upgraded from a 2-column directory to a 4-column directory. The 2010-2011 4-column Cebu Telephone Directory has 873 white pages and 845 yellow pages.
