Indie Komiks is short for independent komiks self-published by the author/illustrator, or published in a limited supply. It is an attempt by the author/illustrator to get his komiks be read even without the benefit of a formal publisher. The objective is to make a contribution while at the same time earn a little money. Usually, the author/illustrator draws his comics in long-sized coupon bond and create series of panels there, creating a whole story. It is then xeroxed, folded and stapled together. Some Indie Komiks have been formally printed and sold in regular bookstores.
