Buko-juice.JPG

Buko juice is young coconut water, which restores electrolytes and moisture that the human body loses during the hot summer days. It is pure, slightly sweet, and refreshing. In cities, buko juice may be available in prepackaged disposable plastic cups. Usually, however, this refreshing drink is sold in the coconut itself by buko men with their pushcarts. The vendor cuts off the top of the coconut, and either gives the whole coconut to the customer, or he may also pour the buko juice and scrape out the young coconut meat into a container if requested.
