Astronomical Observatory of Joseph Le Paute D'Agelet

Joseph Le Paute D'Agalet, a French astronomer, set up a temporary astronomical observatory in Cavite City, specifically in the garden of a Cavite commandant, in accordance with the French ships La Boussole and L'astrolabe 's scientific mission in the area. It was in this observatory that D'agelet determined the latitude of Cavite which is quadrant of three feet radius and longitude by means of lunar distances and rate of chronometers.
