History

Araullo Law School was founded in 1950 by a board whose members were Lauro S. Esteban, Mario S. Garcia, Ceferino S. Esteban, Valentin Castelo, Herminia Castelo-Sotto, Priscilla S. Esteban, Emmanuel S. Esteban, and Ambrocio S. Esteban. It was initially a co-educational and multi-owned private law school.

When more students came to enroll in 1951, the board decided to diversify by offering more courses. The school's name was changed to Araullo Lyceum and it was moved to its second location along M.H. del Pilar Street in Cabanatuan City. During this time,

it was recognized as the “most outstanding institution in Central Luzon” by the League of Provincial Governors in 1963.

In 1969, the school moved to its current campus in Barangay Bitas, a five-hectare lot along the National Road where all of the school's main buildings and facilities are situated.

On 20 April 2004, AU became part of the PHINMA Education Network (PEN).
