Ana Maria Theresa P. Labrador is associate professor of art and museum studies at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. She is also the curator of the university museum, the Jorge B. Vargas Museum and Filipiniana Research Center.
The University of Cambridge in England awarded her the degrees M.Phil and Ph.D. in Social Anthropology, focusing on ritual, museology, and material culture. She also received an M.A. in Museum and Gallery Management from the City University London, UK. Her current international museum affiliations include: vice-president of the International Committee for Training of Personnel, a working committee within the International Council of Museums (ICOM); editorial board member of the Journal of Museum Management and Curatorship (published by Elsevier, USA); and honorary academic fellow of the University of Melbourne’s Center for Cultural Materials Conservation.
