A History of Komiks in the Philippines and other Countries is a fascinating book on the history of Philippine komiks-magazines.

Although by no means comprehensive, it nevertheless gives the reader an overview of komiks as a medium of art loved and cherised by Filipinos.

The book also includes an incomplete listing of Filipino illustrators and writers from the earliest times up to 1983.

The book is written by Cynthia Roxas and Joaquin Arevalo, Jr., with contributions by Soledad Reyes, Karina Constantino-David, and Efren Abueg. It was edited by Ramon Marcelino and published in 1985 in Manila by Islas Filipinas Publishing Co., Inc.
