Rationale

edit

Soap Operas, Teleseryes and Telenovelas are all practically the same, terms that evolved through the years. Teleserye was coined from the words "television" for "tele" and "series" for "serye". This television series have gone far from the 1960's "Hiwaga sa Bahay na Bato" to the town's latest Fantaserye craze. Aside from the locally produced television plots, foreign TV novels have also penetrated the Philippine arena and it was believed that the Mexican made series "Mari Mar" started the telenovela craze in the Philippines.

From the different sub-genres of Teleseryes, Pinoys just can't get enough from creating new themes for TV series. From the afternoon to primetime, various series have hit the local scene that it's hard to keep track anymore of all the teleseryes that have come and go. And this is where WikiWorx: Teleserye enters the picture. WikiWorx is an organized compilation of articles intended as a collaborative platform for writers and editors working on a shared topic of interest. Compared with WikiPilipinas Portals which contain a huge amount of articles in various categories, WikiWorx concentrates on compiling information on a very specific knowledge area.

Ynamorata.jpg

Ynamorata Macaspac or Yna was born from poverty after her mother, Amor Powers, left her for U.S. to go with her American husband, whom she met at the club where she works. A tragic incident completely separated Yna from her biological mother. She was adopted by a couple and soon worked as a maid to the house of the Buenavista's, not knowing that her father, Eduardo Buenavista, lives there. Yna soon developed a romance with Angelo Buenavista, the son of Eduardo. Claudia, the latter's mother strongly disapproves of Yna since she abhors maids so she made the life of Yna a living hell. more
