The Manila Peninsula Hotel Standoff occurred on November 29, 2007, when several members of the Magdalo group, including Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, walked out of a hearing on the coup d’etat case against the Magdalo group, barricaded themselves in the Manila Peninsula Hotel, and called for the ouster of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
