Lake Baao

Lake Baao is approximately 4.8 km northwest of Baao Town, Camarines Sur Province, southeastern Luzon. Baao Lake is an associated marshes with some swamp forest and it is a small freshwater lake. The lake is fed by local run-off and several small rivers, and drains west into the Bicol River. The water's average depth is one metre, its oxygen values range from 8.0 to 8.8 p.p.m., and 6.4 for its pH value and 2.0 for its total hardness. The water recedes during the summer months, and at the lowest water level, only one third of the lake area remains.
