Henry C. Ide

Henry Clay Ide (1844–1921) was a U.S. ambassador and administrator. He was born in Barnet, Vermont. He served as U.S. Governor-General of the Philippines in 1906 and a United States Ambassador to Spain from 1909 to 1913.

In 1912, his daughter Marjorie married Shane Leslie, a first cousin of Winston Churchill.
