Synopsis

Han Ji-Eun is an Internet writer who lives in a beautiful house that goes by the name "Full House". This house was designed and built by her late father and thus has a special significance to her.

Lee Young-Jae is movie star and is worshipped by millions of fans around Asia. Although he comes across as aloof and uncaring, he has a special place in his heart for Kang Hye-Won, who is his childhood best friend. Hye Won, unfortunately, is in love with Yoo Min Hyuk, a successful entrepreneur in the movie industry who is also a senior to Young Jae.

One day, Ji-Eun is offered an all expense paid trip by her friends to China, which she accepts happily. Unfortunately when she returns to Korea, she realizes her house has been sold off to Young Jae, whom she met on the plane trip to China.

Desperate to get her late father's house back, she tries ways and means to get Young Jae to sell it but he staunchly refuses, because he is still annoyed with Ji-Eun for the things she did to him in China, like throwing up at him.

Meanwhile, at an awards presentation ceremony, Hye-Won finally approaches Min-Hyuk to express her feelings for him, but Min-Hyuk rejects her flatly, and adds that Young-Jae would be very sad if he did accept her.

Hye-Won immediately approaches Young-Jae and demands that he confess whether he likes her or not. Young-Jae, being a movie star, cannot express his love for Hye-Won openly as he knows the paparazzi will apply a lot of pressure on them if he does. At the same time, Young Jae does not know how to express his feelings for the one he loves. To cover things up, he declares he loves Han Ji-Eun and proceeds to French-kiss her in front of the entire horde of paparazzi that happily snap the photos that would appear on their tabloids.

Of course, Young-Jae doesn't like Ji-Eun at all and in fact, he finds her a complete pest. Similarly for Ji-Eun, she hates Young-Jae for the fact that he refuses to sell the house back to her. Alas, circumstances force these two rivals to put their differences aside and help each other if they wish to reach their final objectives. Young-Jae and Ji-Eun sign a mutual agreement that they will be married for six months and after the six months, they will divorce each other and Ji Eun will get Full House back in return.

As more and more interesting things happen to this couple, Ji-Eun finds herself falling bit by bit for Young-Jae, but she holds back as she knows his heart is only for Hye-Won. What she doesn't know is that Young-Jae is also beginning to find a delicate affection for her, but doesn't wish to show it because he is still struggling between his childhood love for Hye-Won and his feelings for Ji-Eun.

But Young-Jae's bad temper along with the romantic attentions of Yoo Min-Hyuk starts a rift between the couple. They decide to get a divorce and he moves away. Upon returning, he realizes that Ji-Eun hasn't married yet. Knowing that he truly has fallen in love with her, he proposes to her. But this time, for real intentions and and with real feelings. Finally, they get married for the second time.

Lead Characters

  • Han Ji-Eun (Jessie)

Ji-Eun is a cheerful, spirited and lively realist, who under no circumstances seems to be upset, but who is also very stubborn. She looks very sprightly on the surface, but deep inside she is easily hurt and introverted. She pretends to be smart and upbeat but in reality she is dull-witted and naïve. She becomes easily attached to things and people she likes, and at the most decisive moments she tends to become soft-hearted. While naïve and unsophisticated, she always speaks out when she considers something to be wrong, because she thinks that hiding things in your heart is foolish. Jee-eun is an Internet love story writer, whose nickname is “money-maker.” She also has a part-time job as she needs more money to maintain the Full House. She is a cute personage who firmly believes that money is the only thing lonely people, like she, can trust.

  • Lee Young-Jae (Justin)

Young-jae is one of the best Asian stars. He does his utmost not to hurt other people and not to be hurt himself. Every movie he starred in became a blockbuster. He is stubborn when it comes to selecting which movies to star in, but he has received much acclaim for his talent. Although Young-jae always behaves and speaks as he wants, he does that only to protect himself from being hurt and to be careful not to hurt others. People think of him as a very candid person, but that is also Young-jae’s strategy to hide himself – or rather his failure to express himself to the fullest. As the one who is unaccustomed to being frank and open, Young-jae is bad at making friends and very proud of his ideals and principles.

  • Kang Hye-Won (Lorraine)

Hye-won is the daughter of Doctor Lee's friend. She is a fashion designer, who designs Young-jae’s clothes. She has known Young-jae’s family since her childhood. Her entire life Hye-won has lived in abundance and had many choices. She looks like a fairy-tale princess: long, straight hair, mysterious smile, slim body plus good manners and a charming personality. She comes from a rich family, and is accustomed to being loved. She has never been rejected by anybody, and only feels content when everybody around her loves her. This self-respectful girl is also smart and realistic. She knows the harsh reality of life and is very prudent. She believes that happiness is an objective thing that can be achieved through negotiating.

  • Yoo Min-Hyuk (Luigi)

Min-Hyuk is a director of a large media company. This tenacious and smart guy is also respected and recognized for his skills. He is confident in earning trust from people. He has always been a winner, and is determined to remain one for the rest of his life. This good-looking guy possesses sophisticated manners and is very eloquent – a prince charming that any girl could ever dream of. Min-Hyuk believes that life is too short to live it without fun. Although he looks to be light-minded, he is very affectionate inside. Unlike his seemingly unrestricted personality, he is very composed and prudent. He can’t stand losing and has a strong desire to win in everything, which probably explains his successful career.
