Emmanuel S. de Dios
Emmanuel S. de Dios, Ph.D., is a professor of economics, book author, and chairman of the University of the Philippines School of Economics in Diliman, Quezon City. He is also one of the 12 UP Centennial Fellows who will participate in the UP Centennial Lecture Series as part of the Centennial celebration of the Philippines' premier institution of higher learning.
Aside from UP, de Dios is also affiliated with other professional institutions. Since 1991, he has been head of the subcommittee for economics of the technical panel on humanities, social sciences and communications of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). He is also a Fellow of the Philippine Center for Policy Studies.

Other awards of de Dios include being named NAST Outstanding Young Scientist for economics in 1993 and the UP Diliman Chancellor’s Natatanging Guro (Outstanding Teacher) Award in 2006.
