Caraga Revolt

The Caraga Revolt took place in the Caraga region in Mindanao in 1693. It was an uprising against the Spaniards during the colonization period.

The Jesuits established a mission in Linao in the Caraga region however the mission work was unsuccessful due to the hostility of the surrounding Manobo tribes. Linao, bieng a Muslim territory, was attacked several times during the Caraga revolt.
